History of Spartan
Spartan Pallet Industries began in 1979, when founder and CEO Bob
Hill began
brokering wood pallets, corrugated materials and any related
packaging products. Through Mr. Hill’s hard work and dedication in
the brokering business, he expanded
into manufacturing and was able
to purchase his own 40,000 square foot pallet
facility in
Middletown, OH just nine years later.
As companies became more environmentally friendly and searched for
more
inexpensive and yet durable ways to ship their products, Mr.
Hill decided to steer
away from producing and distributing new pallets to focus his
company on producing recycled wood pallets, which in turn proved
to be an affordable alternative to using new wood. The next 20
years of Mr. Hill’s life were dedicated to perfecting this process
and servicing companies through out the tri-state area.
In 2004, with Spartan Pallet Industries continually growing, Mr.Tim
Carpenter, Bob
Hill’s grandson, took over the company's operations
in an effort to continue the great
tradition that his grandfather had left for him.
Today, Spartan Pallet Industries takes pride in servicing
companies all over the
tri-state area, as well as continuously
trying to simplify the wood recycling process.
Mr. Carpenter plans on continuing Spartan’s constant growth by
developing online ordering and tracking tools and expanding the
existing Lebanon facility.
